Researchers have discovered a way to color-treat diamonds with a process using extreme heat and irradiation. Because traditional stones are formed this way the process mirrors that design by adding carbon dioxide into hot plasma. The results generate synthetic stones that offer countless of brilliant hues.
Unfortunately, even though this new grade of stone may be appealing to look at, they do not hold a value on the open market. In the long run, for those looking for a blue diamond engagement ring there is just nothing finer than having the real thing.
